- The Adrenal Body Type
When an Adrenal Body Type can’t handle stress, it creates an increase of the hormone cortisol. The nature of Cortisol is to help you survive and handle stress. Excess cortisol causes belly fat because “Fat” to the body, is “potential energy.”Belly fat accumulates as energy “reserves”. The Adrenal Body Type works in this cycle: the more stress, the more cortisol and consequently, the more energy reserves. This results in more fat storage. The Adrenal Body Type is the most challenging body type because of this imbalance.
Stages:
Whether you realize it or not, you are in a constant state of stress. You are very active mentally - always thinking and solving problems. You have dark circles under your eyes. You crave chocolate, energy drinks and salt. You may find yourself eating six times a day. As your body progresses; you may develop a sagging stomach. As The Adrenal Body Type progresses, they feel overwhelmed.

- The Liver Body Type
Although this is most common in men, women have this type as well.The predominant characteristic of a Liver Body Type is a “pot belly” symptom. There is swelling in the abdomen which is due to accumulated toxins in the liver. This swelling may appear to be “fat”, but is actually toxic swelling which eventually will harden from pressure.
Stages:
During the first stages of your body type, you experience weight gain and protrusion of the gut. Your legs stay thinner. Your body may start to develop right shoulder pain and you probably notice some back stiffness in the mornings.The Liver Type is known to crave deep fried foods like fried chicken. You tend to stay up late at night and find yourself awake around 2:00AM.You are irritable in the mornings. As The Liver Type develops into the next stage, your cravings get worse and your appetite increases. You may find yourself living on a diet of nearly no vegetables because your cravings create your meals.
- The Ovary Body Type
The predominant characteristic of an Ovary Body Type is a “hip and belly fat”.
Stages:
Fat starts to accumulate just below your belly button. As the stages develop for The Ovary Type, more weight is gained in the hip area. You have cellulite – or cottage cheese looking dimples on your thighs and stomach area. But your upper body stays suitable and does not take on the same effect as your lower. Your shoulders are more narrow than your hips, and you have a small waist relative to the rest of your shape. As symptoms progress, you crave creamy foods and dairy; like ice-cream, cream cheese, cheese cake, vanilla yogurt and those types of foods.
- The Thyroid Body Type
The predominant characteristic of a Thyroid Body Type is "weight gain all over". Thyroid Body Types most likely have a stubborn or slowed metabolism and the type of fat accumulated is a spongy, waste-like product.
Stages:
Cravings start to kick in as a need for quick energy; You will find yourself craving "quick energy sources" like breads, pasta, cereals, crackers, biscuits, pan cakes, muffins, Juices, and even alcohol. By Stage 3, The Thyroid Type experiences chronic fatigue. You may feel that you cannot handle any stress. You find yourself suffering from exhaustion despite how many hours of sleep you get.
